EGYPTIAN JOURNAL FOR REMOTE SENSING AND SPACE SCIENCES: INFORMATION FOR AUTHORS

A. General layout of manuscripts and figures:

1. All paper and figures should be sent on CD.

2. The font type of all papers should be Times New Roman 11.

3. The title should appear in bold capital letters without underlining (Times New Roman with a size of 12). Use more than one line if you wish.

4. Leave one blank line after the title. Type the author(s) name(s), affiliation (department, institution, city, country) with size of 11. Then leave one blank line under the author name and type “Abstract” in bold letters with a size of 10, then start a concise abstract in one paragraph with a size of 10.

5. Major headings are to be typed in bold capital letters without underlining with a size of 12, after one blank line and followed by one blank line.

6. Subheading are to be typed in italic upper case and lower case letters, after one blank line and not followed by any blank lines.

7. Figures, line drawing, photographs, tables… should be placed in the appropriate location in the document. They should have a caption, e.g. Figure 1:, Figure 2:, Table 1: …

8. Figures should be placed seperately in a folder on the CD, they should be (*.EPS) format, with resolution 150-200 in size 17x24cm, or original printouts of the figures.

B. References

References should be cited and listed in alphabetical order in the reference section. The following arrangements should be used with journal titles being given in full and with first and last page numbers of articles being given:

Journals : TASSAN, S., and Sturm, B., 1986. An algorithm for the retrieval of sediment content in turbid coastal waters from CZCS data. International Journal of Remote Sensing, 7, 643-655.

Books : WRIGLEY, N., 1985. Categorical Data Analysis (London: Longman).

Chapters : BLYTH, K., 1985, Remote sensing and water resources engineering. In Remote Sensing in Civil Engineering, edited by T. J. M. Kennie and M. C. Matthews (London: Surrey University Press; New York: john Wiley) , pp. 77-92.

Reports : TREVETT, J. W. (editor), 1983. Proceedings of the SAR-580 investigators workshop. Investigators Preliminary Report S.A./1.07.10.83.10, Commission of the European Communities joint Research Centre, Ispra Establishment.
